It&#8217;s a huge moment for Canadian surfing, and we couldn\u2019t be more excited to cheer on these talented athletes as they take on the world!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Leading the charge is&nbsp;<strong>Team Captain, Cody Young<\/strong>, returning for his second year. Joining him are&nbsp;<strong>Ocea Green<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Aqua Bruhwiler<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Reed Platenius<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Tristan Day<\/strong>, with&nbsp;<strong>Cath Bruhwiler<\/strong>&nbsp;rounding out the crew her fourth time competing in the ISA World Surfing Games after previous appearances in &#8217;94, &#8217;96, and &#8217;98. Together, they\u2019re bringing their A game and a commitment to showcasing the strength and depth of Canadian surfing on the world stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The athletes earned their spots through a combination of&nbsp;<strong>WSL rankings<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Rip Curl Nationals results<\/strong>, making this team a true reflection of the top-tier surfing talent Canada has to offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Meet Team Canada \ud83c\udde8\ud83c\udde6:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cody Young<\/strong>&nbsp;(2024 WSL Challenger Series)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ocea Green<\/strong>&nbsp;(2025 Nationals #2)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Aqua Bruhwiler<\/strong>&nbsp;(2025 Nationals #3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reed Platenius<\/strong>&nbsp;(2025 Nationals #2)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tristan Day<\/strong>&nbsp;(2025 Nationals #4)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cath Bruhwiler<\/strong>&nbsp;(WSG &#8217;94, &#8217;96, &#8217;98)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Coach&nbsp;<strong>Shannon Brown<\/strong>, a&nbsp;<strong>Level 2 Certified Coach<\/strong>, is also a proud ambassador for&nbsp;<strong>Reef Canada<\/strong>&nbsp;and a team rider for&nbsp;<strong>Aftanas Surfboards<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Long Beach Surf Shop<\/strong>. His coaching style combines hands-on beach instruction with video analysis to fine-tune surfers\u2019 skills.
