Swatch Nines Surf Wraps with a Bang: Progression, Innovation, and a Whole Lot of Fun

Three dreamy days at Waco Surf just wrapped, packed with world-first tricks, never-before-seen features, and a whole lot of high-flying fun. Swatch Nines Surf transformed Waco into a cross-discipline playground where surfers, skaters, BMXers, MTB riders, and filmmakers came together to experiment, push boundaries, and inspire one another.

Innovation took center stage with fresh ramps, rails, winches, and the debut of game-changing tools like the self-remote-controlled Motowinch system and the awe-inspiring “Swatch Flying O.” Suspended by a 225-ton crane and stabilized by two semi-truck counterweights, the Flying O hovered over the pool as surfers hit the Reef Fanning Shoe Wallride feature and rotated through creative rail setups.

From world-first airs in the pool to skaters like Andy Anderson soaring overhead, the energy was unreal. “We’re in there, we’re living the dream,” said Mason Ho. “There’s a lot of people behind the scenes making this happen, and that brings out the best in all of us.”

Zoë McDougall added, “Swatch Nines gives us the platform to dream big and the tools to make it real. Whether it’s working on something specific or building something wild, they just ask, ‘What do you want to do?’ and help us do it—with a ton of fun along the way.”
